ASUS has announced it will extend its Eee line with an eReader made up of two screens you will open up like a normal book.

It should be out for Christmas time. We’ll see if they can meet the target. Clearly the area of eReader is really starting to steam, with more announcment, and more products that we could have ever dreamt of just a year ago.
This should enable an ecosystem to develop, particularly so as new announcement are not about closed, proprietary systems and my impression is that these will force Amazon to open up the fruition of their eBooks to other platforms. More than that it may herald the growth of a broad set of applications as it happened for the iPhone and iTouch. Which reminds me that rumors on an Apple tablet are getting stronger…
